this the ending credit for the Lemony Snicket's A Series of Unfortunate Events movie. the movie was okay, i like how art style and stuff. but i love the ending credit animation! i'm thinking of doing something cut-out but digitally for my grad film. and i rlly want to work with texture to have this illustration story book look with vintage mood. i also want to incorporate 3d animation in it, not exactly sure how yet. Jamie Caliri did many other cut-out animations, not digitally.
this one rlly inspired me about the 3d quality in cut-out looking animation, otherwise i probably would just stick with 2d. look at how the characters turn and move! i'm guessing this is composed in aftereffects? joanna lurie didn't say anything about how she put the 3d animated characters together with other 2d aspects, but i know for sure it's 3d!
i realize i need to start making my own collection of textures.
